ZL7/SP5EAQ - Chatham Isl.

ZL7/SP5EAQ Update (Nov 01)

"The expedition is coming to an end. I have a flight to Wellington on November 3 in the morning. There are approximately 5000 QSOs in the log (for now) plus over 700 in the WW DX Contest. I spent the last two nights aon 80 meters, but it gives very few QSOs. Additionally, very strong winds cause frequent delta failures. Yesterday I was visited by excellent guests: Chris ZL7DX - the only "permanent" ham on the island (this one on the right hand side in the photo in Photo Gallery)) and Holger ZL7IO (ZL3IO), who was active in the contest from a great location at Chris' place, obtaining a perfect result in the LP AB category"

ZL7/SP5EAQ Update (Oct 30)

"I'm halfway through the dxpedition. Yesterday, I placed the antenna at 80 meters, today I will test it around 3.660 MHz. (acceptable SWR). The log shows about 4000 qso + 700 in WW DX Contest, where I started on 20 meters (although I was happy to give a multiplier on other bands - I even had one qso on 160 m!). Photos of my antennas are in Photo Gallery." (http://chathams.sp7dqr.pl/photos.html)
