Gabriel (LU1WGB) is currently active as LU1WGB/Z from the Joint Antarctic Base Orcadas on Laurie Island, part of the South Orkney Islands (AN-008). This historic Argentine scientific station holds the distinction of being the oldest permanent settlement in Antarctica. His operation runs through February 22, using FT8 mode on a QRP SDR transceiver with a simple dipole antenna. Great chance for DXers to log a rare Antarctic contact—keep an ear out!

Tom, VK2TBC, is currently working at Casey Station, a permanent Antarctic research facility operated by the Australian Antarctic Division (AAD). Casey Station is located on the Bailey Peninsula in the Windmill Islands of East Antarctica, approximately 3,880 km south of Perth, Australia. He plans to be operational on SSB and FT8 between February and December, as time permits. His station includes a FlexRadio 8400, a DX Commander antenna, and several additional wire antennas. V

Jonathan Slawsby (W5GI) is once again operating from his second QTH on Anegada Island (IOTA NA-023) in the British Virgin Islands, using the callsign VP2V/W5GI .  He will remain active until January 20, 2026, focusing on the 40-10 meter bands in SSB and FT8 modes.  QSLs are available via Logbook of the World (LoTW).

XT2MAX Update (Jan 6) Radio works well on higher bands. I will not do any lowbands because the noise situation is as it is: bad. Fixed some CW keying issues and it works "ok" now.
