W4Y – Youth on the Air Americas Camp 2026

The Youth on the Air (YOTA) Americas Camp 2026 will be held at the Alabama School of Cyber Technology & Engineering (ASCTE) in Huntsville, Alabama (EM64). Throughout the camp, participants will operate from the Bob Heil, K9EID Memorial YOTA Camp Amateur Radio Shack, both in person and remotely, while working on projects, between hands-on sessions, and during their free time.

W4Y ActivationThe special event callsign W4Y will be active from approximately 0200Z on June 14 through 1700Z on June 19, 2026, although activity may also occur a few days before and after the camp.

Dedicated operating periods for campers include:

🗓️ June 16 (June 17 UTC): 0100Z–0400Z

🗓️ June 17: 2100Z–0400Z

🗓️ June 18: 2300Z–0400Z

🌕 EME Operations: June 15, 1500Z–2100Z

🛰️ Satellite Operations: June 16, 1800Z–2100Z

This event provides young operators with hands-on experience across multiple amateur radio activities while connecting with stations around the world.
