Tour de France Radioamateur Challenge

The Tour de France Radioamateur Challenge is a special on-air operating event organized by the REF in partnership with local amateur radio clubs and associations. It runs in parallel with the 2026 Tour de France cycling races — the men’s edition (4–26 July) and the women’s edition (1–9 August).

Throughout the event, special event stations with the callsign TMxxTFR (where “xx” is the two-digit French department number) will be activated for one week in departments hosting a stage start or finish, as well as in departments along the race route.

For example, the Radio-Club de Perpignan will operate as TM66TFR from 4 to 10 July. In addition, TM00TFR will be activated by operators from the various departments involved in the cycling events.
