TC0HZR & TC0GYT (Special Event) - Turkey

Another special event set to excite the Turkish amateur radio community is preparing to hit the airwaves. Commemorating two important pieces of Turkish maritime history — the TCG Hızırreis (S-342) submarine and the TCG Gayret museum ship — special event stations TC0HZR and TC0GYT will be active on June 6–7, 2026.

During the event, amateur radio operators from Turkey and around the world will have the opportunity to make contact with these two historic naval platforms. The goal of the activity is not only to promote amateur radio, but also to introduce significant elements of Turkish Naval Forces history to the international amateur radio community.
