SN92LOT (Special Event) - Poland

SN92LOT – a special event callsign – will be active on the airwaves from July 1st to July 31st, 2025.

This commemorative station honors the 92nd anniversary of the historic transatlantic flight by Lithuanian pilots Steponas Darius and Stasys Girėnas, who departed New York on July 15, 1933, in their small aircraft “Lituanica”, aiming to reach Kaunas, Lithuania.

Tragically, their journey ended in a crash near the village of Pszczelnik, approximately 6 km from Myślibórz, in Poland’s West Pomeranian Voivodeship. A monument now stands at the crash site, where annual ceremonies are held with the participation of high-ranking officials from both Poland and Lithuania.
