HF170TESLA (Special Event) - Poland

170th Anniversary of Nikola Tesla’s Birth.

July 10, 2026, marks the 170th anniversary of the birth of Nikola Tesla.

To commemorate this milestone, the Mazowieckie Stowarzyszenie Radioamatorów TESLA is organizing a special award program honoring one of the greatest inventors in the history of electrical engineering and radio technology.

Nikola Tesla's pioneering work laid the foundation for the development of alternating current (AC) systems, electric power transmission, and radio technology. For the amateur radio community, Tesla remains an iconic figure whose innovations continue to inspire experimentation, technical advancement, and the practical application of electromagnetic waves.

The award program will take place from July 10 through July 31, 2026.

Throughout the event, the special event station HF170TESLA will be active on the air. Operations will take place on the HF and VHF/UHF bands using a variety of operating modes.
