The 4K0T DX-Pedition & Contest Team is proud to announce the first-ever POTA activation from Shahdagh National Park (AZ-0006), a stunning natural area in Azerbaijan’s Greater Caucasus Mountains. The special callsign DB100FT will be active throughout 2026 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Berlin Radio Tower (Funkturm), one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. The 150-meter-tall steel lattice tower holds a significant place in the history of radio broadcasting in Germany, as it began transmitting in 1926. CR7BNW will be operating from the Central African Republic from December 2025 through June 2026. Operations are expected to begin during Christmas week, between December 20 and 25. Activity will be on the 10M, 15M, 20M, and 40M bands, using SSB and FT8 modes. He will be using a dipole antenna.
